Ripples of hope postcards

When the COVID-19 shutdown began, it was not long before our sites were feeling the financial impact on physical distancing measures. As part of the response to that financial challenge, we reached out to past donors and contacts in multiple phases, updating them on our work in schools, and letting them know that we were still serving their communities. The letter is offered as a meditative retreat and includes a postcard that the recipient could send to someone elseā€”its own ripple of hope.

Both cards handlettered in Procreate.

Holiday cards

The City Year jacket is a symbol that those in the network recognize widely. Designing holiday cards presents the challenge of making something that doesn't feel too winter-y (for sites like Orlando and L.A. who don't have snowy winters) nor religious or denominational.

The cookies I made feature the City Year logo and the jacket in both red and yellow.
