City Year had the opportunity to take part in SXSW EDU, which was the perfect opportunity to share our work in education both at the conference and with a larger online audience.
Our primary goal was not to drive ticket sales or attendance to SXSW, but rather to act as a thought leader in the education sphere. The communications plan that accompanied the visuals largely sought to tease out some of the strategies to improve attendance rates and draw educators in, rather than just announcing our attendance.
